About Us > Who We Are

All Columbia Associates clinicians have advanced training in working with children, adolescents, and adults, allowing us to correctly diagnose both common and difficult-to-identify disorders. Our specialties include mood, anxiety, attention, obsessive-compulsive, and eating disorders.

Treatment begins with an initial evaluation and recommendations, which often combine psychotherapy and medication for complete care, as well as exercise and relaxation techniques. Psychotherapy may include individual, group, or play therapy with family involvement to enhance understanding and improve relationships. We also take the time to educate patients about the consequences of hormonal imbalances, poor nutrition, and other factors that may worsen physical or emotional ailments.

We consider all aspects of a person's life, partnering with primary care physicians, schools and other clinicians to coordinate care.  Since the patient's situation often impacts those around them, we provide support for family members as well. This often involves educating them about mental illness and teaching them how to work with the patient to overcome relationship and communication challenges.
