Welcome to the Secure Message Exchange (SMX) system, designed to facilitate the coordination of patient care between inpatient and outpatient doctors.  Similar to other Web-based e-mail programs, SMX is an easy-to-use, secure and confidential messaging system.

Simply log in to create and send a message to a colleague.

The system will then notify the addressee that a new message has arrived for them via e-mail or pager.

*No patient-specific information is sent in this notification.

The recipient can then log in to review the full message.

If you are a doctor currently working with a Columbia Associates' patient, please contact the system administrator Lauren Sheehan at 703.841.1290 for access to the system. Users who want to change their passwords should contact the system administrator as well.

The scheduling system will be available soon.
